Using Fetch | Using WS_FTP | Download FTP software

Before you send files:

Files larger than 5 meg should be sent using FTP.

FTP

• FTP Settings
  Host: ftp://ftp.alchar.com
  UserName: Provided by Alchar Printing Group
  Password: Provided by Alchar Printing Group
  Directory: Leave blank
• You must have a user name and password.
  (To request a user name and password click here.)
• MAC files must be stuffed or the files will be unusable.
• WIN files must include the proper file extension and be zipped.

If you need a password or forgot your user name/password click here.

The best way to upload to an FTP is using an FTP program such as Fetch 4.0.3 for the MAC or WS_FTP for Windows.

Using Fetch
Initial Setup Directions (for first-time installation):

1. Download and install Fetch
2. Launch Fetch
3. When prompted for new connection enter the following:
   • Host: ftp://ftp.alchar.com
   • User ID: enter user name that was given to you by Alchar Printing Group (get username)
   • Password: enter password that was given to you by Alchar Printing Group (get password)
   • Directory: (Leave Blank)
   • Click "OK"
4. Click the "Put Files.." button or select "Put Folder and Files..." from the Remote drop-down menu.
5. Select the files and/or folders you want uploaded and click "Choose"
6. Make sure the format is set to "Automatic" and click "OK"

Please always stuff files before sending.

Using WS_FTP
Initial Setup Directions (for first-time installation):

1. Download and install WS_FTP
2. Launch WS_FTP
3. Click the "Next" button
4. Enter "Alchar Printing Group" into the "Site Name" field and click "Next"
5. Enter "ftp://ftp.alchar.com" in the "Server Address" field and click "Next"
6. For the "User Name" field, enter the user name that was given to you by Alchar Printing Group (get username)
7. For the "Password" field enter password that was given to you by Alchar Printing Group (get password) then click "Next"
8. Leave the "Connection Type" set to FTP and click "Next"
9. Check the "Connect to this site" box and click "Finish"
10. Once a connection has been made you can select folders and files from the left window pane and click the arrow facing the right window pane. This will upload your files to the Alchar FTP site.

Please always ZIP files before sending.
